Creating Outside the Lines Classes

Special Gifts Theatre's Creating Outside the Lines is theatre for adults with special needs! This program provides opportunities to put creativity into action through impromptu storytelling, character transformation and team based performance. Our new program in Palatine will have classes at Walter R. Sundling Jr. High on Wednesday evenings from 6:15 pm to 7:30 pm, starting in January 2024 through April performing Fame Jr, the musical. Musical Theatre Palatine/Rolling Meadows

Join us in Rolling Meadows with classes held on Thursday afternoons from 4:30pm to 6:00pm at Conyers Learning academy. In the Musical Theatre Program students are engaged in educational and therapeutic programming that consists of classroom activities as well as rehearsal and performance experiences. Using the stage as a platform, the focus of this program is to enhance social skills, develop emotional literacy ability, and increase self-esteem. Each student is paired with a peer mentor and together they practice character development, learn choreography, and perform on stage – all of which culminates into a full production for audiences of over 1,800 annually!
